Today.com: Minimalist mom vows to spend nothing on her kid in 2013

We are thrilled to be a part of this fantastic piece on the NBC Today Show website:

Minimalist mom vows to spend nothing on her kid in 2013

Clearly, American parents aren’t the only ones feeling overwhelmed by stuff; the two other parents quoted in the piece, Hattie Garlick and Rachel Jonat, are from the UK and Canada respectively.

The author of the piece, Jacoba Urist, was such fun to work with. She’s a regular contributor to Today.com and NBC News, and blogs regularly at Forbes.com at The Happiest Parent. We did a 20-minute conference call interview with her, and within 30 seconds we were all laughing and sharing hilarious anecdotes followed by “this is off the record.” If every “media experience” is like this, it will be a dream. Thank you, Jacoba!
